First we went to Multnomah falls in the rain.

Later in the trip we made a little spicy pepper jack mac. (see taste for taste)
it was delicioso.

Even later I came home from work to a clean apartment and this surprise:

The trip also included a trail run by the Deschutes River in Bend, watching Naomi perform Speed Boat at her piano recital, and fantastic sushi in Hood River. Let's just say it was a pretty fun time, and PK is a pretty great guy.

A vacation fun enough to get you to blog??!! I'm all for it!!! It looks like a lot of fun! And I need your recipe for blanched asparagus again, speaking of asparagus...
While it appears that Patrick's expression did not change, his clothes are noticeably wetter, so I guess that would be an after picture. Looks like a real Portland vacation!
Some people have photo faces, and
some people have mirror faces. And those people are meant to be together.
blanched aparagus: (this is really tracy's recipe)
Boil water.
Have and ice bath ready.
Put in aparagus for like 30 seconds to a minute or until its how you like it.
Quickly put it in the ice bath to stop it from cooking any more.
Eat like popcorn.
Last time I did this I cut the asparagus before I cooked it. seemed to make it easier.
you.
oh, and patrick.
It was a great trip indeed. Looking forward to the next one!
Looks like a great time Jamie. Beautiful scenery!
